Is Poor Urban Planning Killing The Brewers?

Probably not, but this quote makes you wonder.

Trevor Hoffman discusses one possible reason why San Diego pitcher Jake Peavey might not want to pitch in Milwaukee:

“What he sees in Milwaukee is the ride between the Pfister Hotel and Miller Park on some gloomy days. … You run a path from the Pfister to Miller Park, and that’s not a very pretty drive.”

The scenic landscape and lack thereof around Mitchell Airport probably doesn’t help either. The southshore area is the most depressing part of the metro area to me, outside of the McMansion Suburbia out west.

Good point, William. I’m still amazed people enjoy going anywhere near Southridge. And as nice as it is that Amtrak runs near Mitchell, it’s still kind of a letdown that you’re then forced to wait for a shuttle to actually take you to the airport/your car.
